Welcome to Create Content that Sells

This is your go-to newsletter where I showcase the systems and strategies I use to monetize a 1-person online business through organic content on LinkedIn.

I share quite a lot of content on LinkedIn, and on many other platforms including; Instagram, Threads, Spotify and even YouTube on a weekly basis about LinkedIn growth.

I'm quite passionate about helping life coaches grow on LinkedIn, and I try and make the process a lot simpler than it is for most people on the platform.

But the frustration I have, stems from the direct honest conversations I have with these life coaches and sometimes founders.

The frustration of life coaches not having urgency or maybe getting defensive about what they’re doing on LinkedIn.

That's because:

I recently had a conversation with a life coach about their coaching business, and they had similar pain points to any other life coach on the platform. Which includes “not fully understanding LinkedIn” or “not having the time to commit to their content”

Which is understandable. Most life coaches have a full-time job and the coaching is something they do on the side.

But once I eliminated all pain points and offered them a way forward. The excuses start. It happened with 5 coaches in the last two weeks. Now it's, “I already have someone writing my newsletter for me” or “I am posting a lot of content already”

I hate to be the person to say it but I wouldn't have reached out if what you were doing was good enough, because it's not.

Your budget-looking branding won't sell $10K+/month services or coaching programs, unless your content and everything feels and looks premium.

This is something I have to tell you because someone else won't, they’ll just make silly excuses for not buying your offer (even if you weren't planning on selling something for $10K or more)

You can't sell a premium offer with mediocre branding. It all starts with:

  • The quality of your LinkedIn profile.

  • The quality of the content and visuals.

  • The quality of the service and transformation.

You might not agree but the market decides, not how we feel about our work or what we're doing in the present moment.

People are judgemental. They make informed decisions and preconceived ideas about you and your business just from viewing your profile.

If you don't peak their interest, they are moving on to the next person.

This is why I invest quite a lot on my LinkedIn presence:

  • High quality gear (Laptop, microphone, studio umbrellas and ring lights)

  • Canva Pro and Hypic (Graphic designing platforms)

  • Top-tier headphones (Volkano Soundsweeper's and Polaroids)

  • Jack Brown® Studio equipment

Years of perfecting my LinkedIn presence and workspace.

My advice to you:

Don't rest on your lorals and think what you're doing is enough, there's always room to grow and improve.

It just starts with accepting “what's good enough” and “not good enough”.

Your profile photo and banner must be of good quality.

Your bio and link must be informative and simple to understand.
